What does acupuncture do?

Sessions start with listening to your story--where you have been in your health journey going as far back as you would like to share, and then where you hope to go next. Next, the physical exam consists of assessing restricted or painful areas, observing your movement and breathing, looking at your tongue, and feeling your pulse. Then, the best fitting modality will be chosen to address your needs on that day, which can include any of the following:

  • Acupuncture

  • Cupping

  • Moxibustion

  • Amma Therapy or Tui Na

  • Liniments, Lotions, or Essential Oils

  • Lifestyle, Dietary, and/or Exercise recommendations
